Christopher Goldberg, 32, of Tobyhanna, was arrested at his home Wednesday on charges of possessing child pornography.

In late April, detectives from the Monroe County Office of the District Attorney identified a person downloading and sharing child pornography on a peer-to-peer file sharing network. The investigation eventually led to identifying the source as a computer at Goldberg's home in A Pocono Country Place.Armed with a search warrant, detectives from the District Attorney's office and officers from the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department arrived at Goldberg's home early this morning.There, investigators found 53 images and one video of child pornography on Goldberg's cellphone, as well as evidence of him downloading child pornography on a laptop computer. The recovered images and video depicted nude children as young as 4 years old.Goldberg was charged with 64 counts of possessing child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility, all felonies.He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Fluegel and placed in the Monroe County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for 11:30 a.m. July 12M.
