Park concert

This Sunday,the Palmerton Band will present a concert in the Palmerton Borough Park Bandstand. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. Bring a lawn chair. This week's concert is sponsored by the Palmerton Bandstand Committee. The committee reserves the right to cancel a concert in case of inclement weather.Model railroadThe Carbon Model Railroad Society, 529 Ore St., Bowmanstown will hold its Christmas in July Open House Saturdays and Sundays, July 15 and 16, 22 and 23 from 1-5 p.m. Also from 7-9

Children will receive a free breakfast and a bagged lunch to take home. Everyone is welcome any day or every day.The program is Monday through Friday now until Aug. 25, 8:30 to 10 a.m. The program includes games and activities, crafts, reading programs, with special theme weeks. The event is open to children in grades k-12 in the Palmerton Area School District.Palmerton poolThe Palmerton Memorial Park Pool is in full gear for the summer season. Sundaywill be fun day at the pool. The pool is located at 1255 N. Third St. There are season rates for family, adults, school-age children, and senior citizens (62 and older).
