Two charged in attempted homicide in Schuylkill

Two people have been charged in the attempted homicide that occurred on June 22 in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Robert Nicholas Spann, 28, no address given, and Devine T. Marks, 30, of Pottsville, have been charged in the shooting of Devin Andresen, 22. The two were arrested late Monday night.The two are charged with an incident that occurred between 10:15 and 11 a.m. on June 22 in North Manheim Township. A motorist traveling on Berry Road found Andresen lying on the roadway. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The motorist called 911.Andresen was flown by medical helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he was admitted in critical condition.Troopers said the shooting the the result of a robbery. Spann has been charged with first, second and third degree murder, aggravated assault, robbery, possessing instruments of a crime and recklessly endangering another person. Marks has been charged with robbery, theft and criminal conspiracy, theft and robbery.The two were arraigned before on-call District Judge James Ferrier of Orwigsburg. Both were committed to the county prison in Pottsville:  Spann in lieu of $500,000 straight cash bail; and Marks in lieu of $75,000 straight cash bail.
