Vacation Bible School

• Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 26-30, for children ages 3 through sixth grade. The theme is "Hero Central," where children discover their strength in God. Young people will learn God's heroes have Heart (Samuel anoints David), Courage (Abigail), Wisdom (Jesus goes to the temple), Hope (Beatitudes), and Power (Pentecost). Bible stories, crafts, refreshments and more.

• New Life/Salvation Army, 105 W. Broad St., Tamaqua 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 26-30; Galactic Starveyors.• Faith Alive UMC will be searching the visible and discovering the invisible as Galactic Starveyors June 26-30. Dinner will be served 5-6 p.m., VBS program runs from 6-8:30 p.m. Ages 3 years to entering sixth grade are welcome. Faith Alive is located at 678 Pine St., Bowmanstown. This free program is for children ages 4 through 12. Friday evening, families are encouraged to stay. Crafts, snack and games are included each day. The week also includes an optional afternoon field trip for kids and families. VBS is for kids age 4 and up. Younger children may come with a parent or caregiver for a "Mommy and Me" type experience.
