Lukas Damian of Nesquehoning was named to the dean's list at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh for the spring 2017 semester with a GPA of 3.5. He is studying nursing and is on the Dean's Advisory Board for the School of Nursing.

In addition, he is a member of the two-time NEC conference championship Duquesne football team, where he has achieved the honors of NEC Academic Honor Roll and Student Athlete Advisory Committee for football.He is also the Class of 2018 student representative.Lukas is a 2014 graduate of Marian Catholic High School.He is the son of Frank Damian and Molly Martin, and the grandson of Frank and Marie Damian of Nesquehoning.
