A Schuylkill County motorcyclist was flown to a Lehigh Valley area hospital following a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday along Route 183 in North Manheim Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Joseph C. Dabashinsky, 31, of Cressona, was operating a motorcycle northbound and following a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Phillip M. McCarthy, 38, of Pottsville. Troopers said McCarthy stopped to turn left onto Fox Hollow Road and was rear-ended by the bike.Dabashinsky, who was not wearing a protective helmet, was flown by medical helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. McCarthy was not injured.Troopers said the investigation of the crash revealed that Dabashinsky did not have any insurance and had a suspended license. He was cited for those violations and also for following too closely.
