Crash between tractor-trailer, car closes 209

Route 209 in Franklin Township was closed after a tractor-trailer collided with a car Thursday night.

Jason Doll, acting chief of police for Franklin Township Police Department, said the incident occurred at 6:19 p.m.Doll said police responded to a crash involving a car versus a tractor- trailer at Interchange and Cherry Hill roads.He said the crash resulted in a hazmat fuel spill of about 100 to 150 gallons from the side saddle tank of the tractor-trailer.Doll said the roadway was shut down for about an hour, and then partially again at 11 p.m.He said a rapid response cleanup team was called for the spill cleanup.Doll said the report does not indicate the name of the drivers involved, and does not indicate if there were any injuries.The matter remains under investigation. The Franklin Township Fire Company assisted.
