A Franklin Township man has been charged after a two-month investigation into methamphetamine manufacturing in the township.

Thursday morning the Franklin Township Police Department, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office and Carbon County Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant on the 2000 block of Long Run Road, Lehighton.

Evidence of methamphetamine was discovered and William Simon Billings was charged on multiple drug counts.

He was arraigned this afternoon in front of district magistrate William Kissner.
