A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 10:46 p.m. Sunday along Route 924 in East Union Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Angel M. Castellanos, 26, of Zion Grove, was driving a 2013 Jeep Sahara Wrangler southbound in Sheppton when he lost control. The vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole along the west berm. The Jeep came to rest blocking the southbound lane.Castellanos, who was not injured, showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital South, Pottsville, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.The Jeep had to be towed.
