Tamaqua Area School Board finance committee recommended approval for the following:

• The 2017-18 breakfast and lunch cafeteria prices: elementary, $2.35; secondary, $2.60; adult, $3.75; and breakfast, $1.25. There is no change in the costs.• Establishing the 2017-18 Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion for the 2017-18 fiscal year at $142, a reduction in assessed value of $4,257 for eligible properties per information provided by the county assessment office.• Authorizing the district's business manager to select the district's insurance package (lowest cost option for current program) for the 2017-18 fiscal year.• M & T Bank as the district's depository for the 2017-18 fiscal year.The board's auxiliary committee recommended approval:• Fees for the Pay to Participate, which will be $30 for the first sport, $20 for the second sport, and $10 for the third sport.• The M & S Sign for the Rush field, which is a paid advertisement that will be displayed at the softball field located at the Rush facility.• Two sophomore students for 2018 early graduation.
