Lehigh's Nalesnik named to East All-Region team

Recent Lehigh baseball graduate Jacen Nalesnik added another accolade to his decorated resume as he was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Division I East All-Region Second Team as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Wednesday.

Nalesnik finished as the team leader in slugging pct. (.606), runs (53), hits (62), RBI (39), doubles (14), home runs (13), total bases (117) and stolen bases (9) this past season. He also led Lehigh in batting average (.321) among players who played in over 40 games.The Lehighton High School graduate was the Patriot League leader in home runs and slugging percentage and total bases this past season, while he ranked second in runs scored. On a national level, he finished the regular season tied for the ninth-most home runs, tied for the fifth-most runs scored, tied for the 11th-most total bases and tied for the 17th-most runs per game (1.06) in NCAA Division I baseball.Nalesnik is the fourth Mountain Hawk to garner ABCA All-Region honors and the first LU outfielder to receive such honors in program history. He was one of three Patriot League players to be named to this year's East All-Region squad.In his final season with the Brown and White, Nalesnik's accolades include: First Team All-Patriot League, Academic All-Patriot League, First Team All-ECAC and ABCA/Rawlings East All-Region Second Team.
