If you have a love for children and want to be a positive influence in their lives you are invited to attend a mentoring workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Community Church - Mount Pocono Campus, 1050 Memorial Blvd., Tobyhanna.

In this 90-minute video-based training with facilitated discussion you will learn what it takes to be a mentor and how God has already equipped you to be a mentor. In the last 15 minutes the talk will be about the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bridge Program in Monroe County and how you can become a "BIG" to one of the more than 30 children on the waiting list for a mentor.To register, send an email to Ken Gustafson at
