OUR TOWN

About two dozen Tamaqua residents traveled to Pittston last night for the debut of the WVIA documentary "Our Town Tamaqua." Residents manned the phones and took over 100 pledge calls during the two-hour program. The program was a blend of history and vision showing how the past has enabled the community to face present day issues and plan for the future. Celebrating the end of the program are Maureen Donovan, Richard Hadesty, Leona Rega, Judy Hoppes and WVIA's Joe Krushinsky, a Tamaqua Area High School graduate. The program will be aired several more times by WVIA. Check programming guides for days for air dates. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO BY ZACK FIELD
