A couple returning from a two week vacation at Niagara Falls and just five miles from their home lost their travel trailer in a crash.

Traveling north in Franklin Township a woman pulled out of Hemlock street into their path of travel.

They swerved to the right to avoid a collision entering the right berm.

The trailer hit a utility pole ripping the trailer in half. Neither of the two were injured.

Responding was the Franklin township fire company and Lehighton paramedics. The Franklin township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene. Franklin township police are investigating the incident.
