Three people were injured Saturday afternoon, a man and two children in a crash in Schuylkill township.

The crash occurred just after 5 p.m. as the man was traveling south on Route 209.

The car swerved to the right, striking a set of guard rails.

The injured were treated at the scene by members of the Ryan township ambulance and Lehighton paramedics, then transported to an area trauma center.

State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
