Two defendants entered guilty pleas to driving under the influence charges before Judge Joseph J. Matika on June 2 in Carbon County court.

Jennifer E. Gizerian, 33, of Jim Thorpe, also pleaded to one count of reckless endangering another person. She was arrested on Jan. 6 by Weatherly police along Hudsondale Street. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.In the vehicle with her was a juvenile.Sentencing was deferred, so she can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Charles Ruben Lorenzo, 31, of New York City, was arrested on Feb. 27 along Interstate 80 in East Side Borough by state police at Fern Ridge.
