A Berks County man was seriously injured when he exited a moving vehicle and was then struck by a truck. State police at Fogelsville said the incident occurred at 2:41 p.m. June 2 along Route 222 bypass in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.
Troopers said Bryant Walton, 21, of Kempton, was a passenger seated in the third row of a vehicle traveling southbound in the right lane near Krocks Road. Troopers said Walton became agitated and began to vacate the vehicle. As he did, he was struck by the trailer portion of a truck tractor driven by Pedro Montana, 45, of Lancaster. After the initial contact with Walton, the trailer made a second impact with him as he was lying on the road.Walton was taken by ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, with what troopers said were serious injuries.
