A Carbon County man was sentenced to a state prison term on Friday after pleading guilty in three pending criminal cases.
Daniel William Hollan, 34, of Lansford, was sentenced by Joseph J. Matika to serve one to two years in a state correctional institution on a charge of flight to avoid apprehension, a felony three. On charges of defiant trespass and loitering or prowling at night he was placed on probation for a year on each count, running concurrent with each other but consecutive to the first count.Hollan was charged with the flight to avoid count on Sept. 28, 2016, by Lansford police who went to 43 E. Ridge St., to serve a warrant on him. He fled the home but was eventually caught by police. The defiant trespass occurred on July 19, 2016, at 2 E. Ridge St., in Lansford; and the loitering count on July 20, 2016, at the same address.He was also ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, supply a DNA sample, pay court costs of about $1,000, and when released on parole render 100 hours of community service.He was given credit for 247 days spent in prison on the charges.
