A former Schuylkill inn was the victim of a burglary recently.

State police at Frackville said Smith’s Country Inn Restaurant, located at 555 Church St., in New Ringgold, East Brunswick Township, was entered sometime between May 22 and Friday.Removed from inside the inn were several copper tea kettles and a large antique National Cash Register made of brass. The register is valued at $3,000. The inn has not been open for several years.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
