Schuylkill County court - DUI
Schuylkill County judges have sentenced five people charged by local police with driving under the influence. In addition to their sentences, all were ordered to pay court costs and fees.
Dustin A. Hill, 30, of Philadelphia, was charged by McAdoo police with two counts of DUI, possession of a controlled substance, and driving with a suspended or revoked license on March 13, 2016.Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to 90 days to five years in jail on the DUI charge, fined him $1,500, and suspended his license for 18 months.Dolbin also sentenced Hill to 12 months on probation on the possession charge, fined him $1,000 and 60 days in jail, to be served at the same time as the DUI sentence, for driving without a license, Hill also must have an ignition lock installed for one year.Brian Fralich, 39, of Waymart, Wayne County, was charged by West Penn Township police with fleeing, recklessly endangering another person, DUI, exceeding 55 mph, three counts of illegal passing, and reckless driving on March 30, 2016.Judge John E. Domalakes sentenced him to six to 23 months in jail on the endangerment charge; six months on probation, concurrent with the jail term, and a $300 fine on the DUI charge.Domalakes also ordered Fralich to get drug and alcohol counseling and perform 10 hours of community service.The remaining charges were dropped.Ryan C. Ventresca, 34, of Orange, California, was charged by Tamaqua police with DUI, failing to obey traffic signals, and failure to display registration plates on Feb. 13, 2016.Domalakes sentenced him to 76 days to six months in jail on the DUI charge and fined him $25 on the registration plate charge.Domalakes also fined him $300 and suspended his license for 12 months, ordered him to enroll in Alcohol Highway Safety School, and to continue with long-term residential treatment.The remaining charges were dropped.Daniel Leibenguth, 43, of Tamaqua, was charged by West Penn Township police with DUI-controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and lighting violations on Feb. 7, 2016.Domalakes sentenced him to 72 hours to six months in jail on the DUI charge; 12 months on probation on the paraphernalia charge, to be served concurrently with the DUI sentence; a $1,000 fine and 12 months suspension of his license.Domalakes also ordered Leibenguth to undergo random urine screens.The remaining charges were dropped.Brandon F. Raab, 20, of Doylestown, Bucks County, was charged by West Penn Township police with three counts of DUI-controlled substance on March 24, 2016.Domalakes sentenced him to 90 days to five years in jail, fined him $1,500, and suspended his license for 18 months on one count of DUI.He also ordered Raab to enroll in Alcohol Highway Safety School, and to perform 20 hours of community service.The remaining counts of DUI were dropped.
