Tamaqua man jailed after domestic

Clair Joseph Quick of Yetten Circle, Tamaqua, was taken to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville after a domestic dispute on May 29.

Tamaqua police were contacted by the victim at 7:15 p.m. She said the couple was arguing all day, but that it turned physical around 4 p.m. Quick pushed her and attempted to punch her. At one point, he pointed a .45 caliber handgun at the woman and her 4-year-old daughter and placed his arm against the child's neck, causing a bruise on the left side.He was arraigned before duty District Magisterial Judge David Rossi on charges of strangulation, aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. Bail was set at $50,000 straight, which he was unable to post.
