The Palmerton Swim Team, along with members of the community, will be participating in a swim challenge from noon to 8 p.m. on June 28 at the Palmerton Memorial Pool.

Fundraising from the event will go toward the Special Olympics of Carbon County and the swim team.Each participant will pledge to swim a certain number of laps in support of the Olympians and the swim team, with the team aiming to raise $5,000.Pledge forms are available at the pool office or online at

www.palmertonswim.com. If you show your pledge form at the pool office on the day of the event, the admission fee will be waived.The Palmerton Memorial Pool is a public pool, and all members of the community are encouraged to participate and support this effort.Daily rates at the pool are $7 per adult and $5 per child. The pool is located at 1255 Third St., Palmerton, PA 18071.
