Man advertised guns, money and drugs on Facebook

A Blakeslee man who boasted on Facebook about guns, money and drugs was arrested when Monroe County police authorities executed a search warrant at his residence after the man made a sale of marijuana to an informant.

Jhoan (John) Molina, 26, who resides in the Greenwood Acres development in Tobyhanna Township, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Claypool on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of instruments of a crime, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.Molina was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Snydersville, in lieu of $50,000 bail, pending a preliminary hearing scheduled for 10 a.m. June 15.According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Detective Kim Lippincott of the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, Molina’s suspected criminal activity came to her attention in May when he bragged about guns, money and drugs on his Facebook page. She said Molina posted a photograph of himself standing in his residence, with a handgun in his right front pocket.The posting also showed photographs of marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and large sums of U.S. currency.Lippincott said on May 10, she received information from a confidential informant who stated that he/she was able to purchase marijuana from Molina. The informant showed Lippincott Molina’s Facebook page, which ultimately resulted in police obtaining a search warrant for the man’s home.Police said the warrant was executed on Thursday morning by officers from the Pocono Mountain Regional Police SWAT and the Monroe County Drug Task Force. During the search, police found a loaded AR15 in the residence and a loaded Taurus 9mm handgun on Molina’s nightstand, as well as marijuana, $480 in U.S. currency, a digital scale and packaging materials.
