The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce will present its 11th Annual Summer Concert Series, with all events to be held on the platform of the Tamaqua Train Station. Concerts will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on select Thursdays throughout the Summer months.
The first act to take the stage will be local folk/Americana musician Jay Smar on June 1. His appearance is being sponsored by the Schuylkill County Visitors Bureau.Other scheduled events are:June 8 - Steve Brosky and Jimmy Meyer, blues;June 15 - Cajun Outlaws, sponsored by Heisler's Dairy Bar;June 29 - Six to Midnight, rock, sponsored by Tom's Auto Body and Marine;July 13 - It takes Two, top 40s and classics, sponsored by Cal's Tire and Auto Services;July 27 - Big and Bad Rockabilly Cats, sponsored by the Tamaqua Station Restaurant.A project of the Tamaqua Area Chamber's Marketing Committee, this is the fourth season for the summer concerts at the station.
