A Carbon County man admitted threatening police on Thursday in the county court on a social network and in person.

He was one of five defendants in pending criminal cases to enter a guilty plea before Judge Steven R. Serfass.Lehighton incidentIan Graham, 24, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of terroristic threats for an incident in July 2016.Police noticed a posting of Facebook by Graham that he would like to shoot a police officer if he didn't get in trouble. Police made contact with Graham, who then made more threats to officer Bruce Broyles and other officers of the borough police department. He told Broyles he would shoot his brains out.Defense Attorney Matthew J. Mottola, of the public defender's office, told Serfass his client has had a history of mental health issues but has now addressed them since the incident.He said Graham is receiving counseling and is on medication which has controlled his actions. He also noted Graham spent 124 days in prison on the charge.Graham told Serfass, "I'm doing everything I can to be on the right track." He also said he is close in obtaining employment.Serfass placed him on probation for 36 months and ordered he render 150 hours of community service.Takes truck, toolsBrian Bruce Kenny, 38, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to one count each of criminal trespass, a felony two, and theft, a felony three.He was charged by Jim Thorpe police for an incident on June 29, 2016, in which he took a pickup of Steven Schneider and also tools in it as well as tools from a garage owned by the victim.Police later obtained a search warrant and found the missing tools.Serfass deferred sentencing and ordered the adult probation office to prepare a report.Other pleasCourtney Lynn Dickson, 22, of Jim Thorpe, entered pleas in two pending cases to one count each of resisting arrest and harassment.She is charged with an incident in the area of 154 South Ave., where police responded for a report of a fight. Dickson was involved in an altercation with another woman and told to leave the area. She refused. When told her she was being placed under arrest, it took police substantial force to take her into custody. The harassment charge involved the same victim, who told Serfass it has been an ongoing problem with Dickson causing her problems.Serfass placed her on probation for a total of three years on the two charges and ordered her to render a total of 150 hours of community service and have no contact with the victim. Serfass warned her that having contact with the victim would violate the probation and she could face jail time.Shannon Peter Steigerwalt, 42, of Weissport, pleaded to one count of simple assault. He was arrested on April 5 by state police at Lehighton for an incident on White Street, Weissport. He entered the home and got into a confrontation witha man over a drill. He admitted punching a man in the face.Sentencing was deferred.Jamie Lee Taschler, 26, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of disorderly conduct as a summary offense. She was arrested on Sept. 28, 2016, in the 100 block of South First Street. She had a charge of possession of a controlled substance dropped in a plea bargain. Police found her with methamphetamine.He was fined $300.Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee if on probation or parole.
