A crash was investigated along Interstate 81 in Butler Township, Schuylkill County, at 12:51 p.m. on May 18.

State police at Frackville said the crash occurred at the beginning of a work zone where the right lane was closed.Troopers said George G. Pawlush, 70, of Cheshire, Connecticut, was stopped for traffic ahead of him when his 2013 Honda CRV was struck in the rear by a 2016 Nissan Rogue operated by Mark A. Yasenchak, 38, of Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County.Yasenchak, Pawlush and his passenger, Carol Pawlush, 67, were treated at the scene by Minersville ambulance personnel for minor injuries.Troopers cited Yasenchak for careless driving.
