A Monroe County man is the victim of a forgery incident in which he had more than $5,000 taken from his checking account.

State police at Fern Ridge said a Saylorsburgman reported on April 28 that there were fraudulent checks charged against his bank account. He said he had been given a copy of 11 checks that had been cashed and charged to his account totaling $5,685.40. The time frame for the incidents was April 14, 2015, and April 18, 2017.
