Monroe fugitive arrest results in 5 imprisoned

Five people were arrested on Thursday after police executed a fugitive from justice arrest warrant.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident occurred at 7 a.m. at 178 Stonecrest Road, in Blakeslee.Pocono officers assisted the U.S. Marshal Service in arresting the fugitive, identified as Henry Koroma.Koroma was wanted by authorities in Ohio for a probation violation, originating from a robbery incident.The department's SWAT team was activated after Koroma refused to leave the residence. SWAT team negotiations were initiated and Koroma came out of the house and was taken into custody.A search warrant was then executed on the residence which resulted in the seizure of heroin, cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills and five handguns.As a result of the search police arrested Ebony Ortiz, 22, Deshawn Finnikin, 20, Arthur Pultz, 61 and Teri Pultz, 52, all from Blakeslee.All were charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and related drug offenses.Koroma was also charged with possession with intent, persons not to possess a firearm, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a firearm with obliterated serial number and receiving stolen property.Koroma was placed in the county prison in Snydersville on the active warrant. The others were also taken into custody and transported to the prison to await arraignment on the charges by District Judge Richard Claypool.According to prison officials, all the defendants are currently inmates at the jail, unable to post bail.
