Lehighton Area School District's board of directors recently hired JoAnn Schoenberger and Norine Zehner, middle school field hockey coaches; Cristina Bueti and Nick Hill, assistant girls' soccer coaches; Robert Aaron, girls' soccer volunteer; JC Dietz and Steve Strauss, boys' basketball volunteers; and Anthony Pagotto and Joanne Barrett, cross country volunteers.

The board also accepted the resignation of Eric Gidney, head girls' basketball coach.
