A man was attacked during a home invasion incident in Carbon County on Monday.
State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred about 3:32 p.m. on the 700 block of Lehigh Street in Bowmanstown borough.Troopers said the victim was alerted by his barking dog in the backyard of his home. He went to his unlocked front door where he was approached by two unknown males wearing hooded sweatshirts and bandannas covering their face.The two gained entry to the home by pushing the resident into his home and pinning him down on the living room floor. The two demanded cash and searched the home for money.One of the suspects kicked the victim in the head then both fled in an unknown direction with the man's wallet and jewelry.Police did not release information about the victim’s condition.
