Ranger Rick Club to meet Sunday

The monthly meeting of the Ranger Rick Club will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday at Carbon County Environmental Education Center.

The club meets on the third Sunday of each month and is open to all students in kindergarten through grade six. Meetings generally last 1½ hours.Each month's meeting focuses on some aspect of the natural world. This month's topic, "The Color Green" will have children exploring nearby trails on the hunt for signs of spring.Since the afternoon will include a hike along muddy trails, children should come dressed appropriately.The program is free for CCEEC members, and a nominal donation is requested of nonmembers.For more information, including alternate directions to avoid Jim Thorpe's parade day traffic, call 570-645-8597.CCEEC is located at the west end of Mauch Chunk Lake Park, just outside Jim Thorpe, along the Lentz Trail Highway.
