Pleasant Valley school board

In the race for school director for Pleasant Valley School District the race for the lone two-year seat will remain contested in November, while the top four candidates for the available four-year terms are assured seats on the board.

Linda S. Micklos led the Democratic ballot with 204 votes and Robert E. Serfass led the Republican ticket with 223. They will face off in November for the two-year term.Donna Yozwiak, Dan Wunder, Laura Jecker, Len Peeters all cross-filed and were the top four on both tickets. They will appear on both ballots in November for the four-year term.Nine candidates were on the ballot, with four incumbent directors running for re-election.Wunder, Peeters, Micklos and Serfass are all at the end of their four-year terms. Doug Wisser was appointed by the board to fill the term left open by H. Charles Hoffman, who passed away shortly after his re-election to the board.
