One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Route 54 in Rush Township.

State police at Frackville said the crash happened at about 3:15 p.m. Saturday.

Route 54 in the Lake Hauto area remained closed at 6:30 p.m. as troopers, with the assistance of the crash reconstruction unit, investigated.

The crash happened after the driver of an eastbound car crossed the center line and hit another, according to preliminary reports.
