This year's Black Diamond Garden Party, the premier fundraising and social event of St. Luke's Hospital Miners Campus, will be held from 6 to 9

p.m.June 3.The outdoor event takes place under a large tent at the Victorian Kemmerer Park in beautiful Jim Thorpe.The Black Diamond features delicious food, live music and plenty of opportunities to socialize with friends and colleagues from St. Luke's.The Black Diamond Garden Party raises funds to advance St. Luke's Miners' charitable mission.Proceeds this year support the expansion of the Emergency Services Department to add new exam rooms. This will help accommodate the increasing number of patients coming to the hospital's Level IV Trauma Center, a Chest Pain Accredited and Stroke Certified Emergency Department. Medical Director Adam Colombo, DO, and Manager Marshall Bowen, RN, and their team will be on hand to talk about the expansion and emergency medicine.A highlight this year is a silent auction that includes a unique piece of artwork commissioned especially for the event. This year's painting, an original oil on canvas, is particularly significant. It was created by Summit Hill resident and St. Luke's employee Ann Paton, a radiology technician at the hospital.
