The Monroe County League of Women Voters provided information on races in the Times News coverage area:
• In Chestnuthill Township, incumbent Republican Chuck Gould is unopposed for the six-year supervisor term.• In Eldred Township, there is a race for the six-year term of supervisor on the Democratic ticket. Gary A. Hoffman, who was appointed to the position in May 2016, is running against Ellersie W. Helm.• In Ross Township Democrat Russell "Butch" Kresge is running for another six-year term for supervisor. He is unopposed.David M. Shay is running on the Republican ticket.• In Polk Township, incumbent Michael Hurley is unopposed on the Democratic ticket for the 6-year supervisor term. Robert Butler is running on the Republican ticket.Democrat Joan McKinsey is running for the two-year term of supervisor. Carl Heckman, who was appointed as supervisor in January 2016, is running on the Republican side.
