Raiders STEP-Up, a student/staff driven drug-prevention initiative, will host a free event, "Field Flick," for all Tamaqua Area High School students on Saturday. The event will be held from 5 to 11 p.m. in the district's football stadium, or gymnasium if it rains.There will be games, food, student entertainment and a movie presentation.Organizers hope the event will promote positive pro-social activities between peers and faculty, leading to positive changes within the Tamaqua community.BloodmobileAn American Red Cross Bloodmobile will visit Tamaqua on May 17 at St. John United Church of Christ, 150 Pine St. Hours will be from 1 to 6 p.m.Anyone 17 or older, who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in general good health, is eligible to donate blood.To schedule an appointment, or for more information, call 800-733-2767 or visit
