Walnutport woman faces drug charges

A Walnutport woman faces drug charges after police were called to her boyfriend's house in Nesquehoning for a disturbance.

Nicole Lettich, 42, of Myrtle Road, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia by Nesquehoning police following an incident on April 17.According to the affidavit, officer Timothy Wuttke was dispatched to Rhume Street for a physical domestic. Upon arrival, he spoke with the caller, identified as Lettich, who was outside on the porch.She started telling Wuttke what had happened at her boyfriend's house, but was interrupted by the boyfriend's sister.Wuttke and Lettich went across the street to continue the interview, but while speaking, Lettich's boyfriend came over with a tin can, yelling that drugs and paraphernalia inside the can were Lettich's and he wanted them out of his house.Lettich admitted that she smoked marijuana for a medical condition and the items inside the can were hers.Neither Lettich nor the boyfriend wanted to pursue charges on the domestic incident, but Lettich was charged for the drugs that were found.She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek on May 24.
