Residents who live in Walker Township have been put on alert that the windows and vehicles of homes have been shot out with BB guns.

Township police officer Todd Woodward informed the township's board of supervisors on Thursday that the perpetrators have targeted vehicles parked on roadways.Woodward said it is uncertain where the acts originated, but noted they have occurred not only in the township, but also in Tamaqua and the Reading area.He encouraged township residents to attempt to move their parked vehicles away from the roadway to avoid potential damage.
