A special concert designed to help in the local fight against heroin abuse will be held at the Tamaqua Community Art Center at 7 p.m. May 20.

The main event will be a concert by the rock group Scott Marshall and Marshall's Highway. Other entertainers will include Tony and Joel from "the Cherrybombs"; guitarist Lee Delray of "Rising Blues"; Jordan Kenzie; and Chelsea Lynn Meyer.The evening will also include a number of guest speakers, including state Sen. Dave Argall, Tamaqua Mayor Chris Morrison, Tamaqua Police Chief Rick Weaver, Donna Jacobson of CARON Treatment Centers, STEP-Up and Safer Streets for Tamaqua's Little Feet.For further information, call 570-668-1192.
