Fire personnel were dispatched to a reported brush fire endangering a home Sunday afternoon on the 1200 block Beaver Run Road in Mahoning township.

When first responders arrived on scene they discovered it was actually the home that was on fire.

Quick response by Lehighton and Mahoning Valley fire companies saved the home, keeping the damage to a minimum.

Mahoning and Lehighton fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
