Schuylkill County farmer, David Kistler, has won the opportunity to direct a $2,500 dollar donation from the America's Farmers Grow Communities program, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, to Horses & Horizons Therapeutic Learning Center.

The learning center will use the funds to provide partial scholarships to individuals with disabilities who are in need of financial assistance to participate in the horseback riding program."We are very grateful to our farming neighbor, Dave Kistler, for designating

H.H.T.L.C. as the recipient of this donation. It will enable us to make the benefits of therapeutic horseback riding affordable for children and adults with disabilities who otherwise would be unable to participate", said Harvey Smith, the center's executive director.The Grow Communities program's purpose is to make a positive impact in farm communities by partnering with farmers to support causes that are important to them in their communities.
