Women's weekend

Tink's Antiques, 28 S. Railroad St., Tamaqua, is coordinating a Women's Weekend for May 5, 6 and 7.

Billed as "Create, Make and Celebrate,"the three-day event is based on the success of last year's Ladies Nite Out with a twist. A percentage of all sales will be donated to a Schuylkill County nonprofit organization.Friday's events will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. and will include a Galen Glen wine tasting for adults and a "create a cookie bouquet" by Sweet Treats. The cookie class is open to those 13 and older and preregistration is required by emailing ljy50@dtp@gmail.com.Jennifer Kohlmeir will offer a make and take class on essential oils from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Walk ins are welcome and the class is child friendly.Also on Saturday, The Green Snail will offer a make and take class designed to create a flower pin or magnet, by hand sewing, using upcycled fabric. greensnailshop@gmail.com.Manda Jean Photography will offer portrait specials from noon to 2 p.m. and Amy Mogish will offer a milk paint and classic chalk art class from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.Kountry Krafts and Treasures, 30 W. Broad St., will also be participating, donating 10 percent of all sales to a nonprofit, while the Tamaqua Station Restaurant will donate 10 percent of all food sales, on Sunday, to Schuylkill Women In Crisis.
