Schuylkill commissioners, on Wednesday, approved the following items:
• Approved a $7,360 grant agreement under the Hazardous Material Emergency Preparedness Program for 2016.The grant is authorized by the Hazardous Material Transportation Act of 1990.The money will provide financial help for hazardous materials planning and training in the county.The county will provide 20 percent of the money to match the federal government's 80 percent.The county's share will come from the locally collected Hazmat Assessment funds.• Approved an addendum to Schuylkill Medical Center's contract effective April 12, 2017.The new name is Lehigh Valley Schuylkill South, and it is located at the same address 420 S. Jackson St., Pottsville.• Set the annual salary for Natural Resource Conservationist Alexa Kramer at $29,944.- Chris Parker
