Palmerton Community Members for Excellence in Education is hosting a "Meet and Greet the Candidates" at 6:30 p.m. on Mondayin the Palmerton High School cafeteria.

The group, which has also started a Facebook page, invited the seven candidates running for a seat on the Palmerton Area School District board of directors "so that the voting public may ask questions and be fully informed for the primary election on May 16."Candidates include Katherine Baumgardt, Kathy Lendvay Fallow, Clarence Myers, Earl Paules, Barry Scherer, David Schwartz and Darlene Yeakel.
