Lehighton graduate and current Lehigh University outfielder Jacen Nalesnik recently was honored as the week's Most Valuable Mountain Hawk.
The senior led the team in runs, hits, home runs, total bases and slugging percentage during the week, which included five straight wins.Nalesnik hit a game-winning homer in a 3-2 victory over Lafayette in the first game of the two school's four-game series.He also recorded 19 putouts in right field without making an error.For the season, the former Indian has started all 40 of Lehigh's games and is hitting .329 (51-for-155). He leads the team in runs scored (41), hits (51), doubles (12), homers (11), RBIs (29), total bases (98), slugging percentage (.632) and stolen bases (7).The Mountain Hawks have a 16-24 record and play 10 more games during the regular season.
