Tamaqua police report

Tamaqua Police released information on several citations that were recently issued.

Michael Mahala, 57, ofEast Broad Street, Tamaqua, was cited for harassment after an ex-girlfriend complained he was stalking her. On numerous days, Mahala would park his Pontiac Grand Am in a position where he is able to look into the woman's home.The victim filed the complaint on April 16.Anthony Kehl, 47, of Tamaqua, was cited for public drunkenness on April 12 after he was found stumbling along the sidewalk in the 200 block of East Broad Street at 10:18 p.m. Kehl told the officer he had "about 20 beers."He was placed in a cell to sleep it off and later released.Michael Hill Jr., 25, who is currently homeless, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license. He was stopped on April 13, driving a van that was reported as stolen. While he was being transferred to the custody of Coaldale Police on the stolen vehicle charge, officers found a syringe in his right front pocket and a black eyeglass case, containing small, empty plastic bags, was found in the center console.
