Samuel L. Deppen, 24, of New Ringgold, was found guilty of criminal mischief for deliberately breaking a window at a Pottsville hospital.

A jury found Deppen guilty of the crime, committed Sept. 8, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill South Jackson Street.Judge Jacqueline L. Russell ordered a presentence investigation to be done before she pronounces Deppen's sentence.Guilty pleasChristopher M. Reed, 29, of Barnesville: Charged by Mahanoy City police in five cases.In the first, he pleaded to burglary and criminal trespass on Aug. 29, 2015.Additional charges of receiving stolen property, theft, defiant trespass and criminal mischief were dropped.In the second case, he also pleaded guilty to burglary on April 15, 2016.In the third, Reed pleaded to criminal trespass on March 12, 2016; in the fourth to theft and simple assault on April 16, 2016; and in the fifth, to possession of a controlled substance on Aug. 30, 2015.Judge John E. Domalakes sentenced Reed to 39 months to seven years in state prison.Aurelia Wilder, 26, of Nesquehoning: Charged by Coaldale police on Feb. 29, 2016, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and with driving while her license was suspended.President Judge William E. Baldwin sentenced her to 60 days of house arrest with electronic monitoring and 12 months probation.Wilder, who pleaded guilty on Jan. 18 to possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension/driving under the influence, was also fined $1,000.Joshua DeWire, 27, of Tamaqua: Charged by Rush Township police with defiant trespass on Sept. 21, 2016.He also pleaded to forgery, theft, and receiving stolen property, filed by Tamaqua police on Sept. 8, 2016.President Judge William E. Baldwin ordered a presentence investigation before imposing punishment on May 18.
