Golden AgersThe April 10 meeting of the Panther Valley Golden Agers was attended by 29 members after a three-month absence. The meeting was opened by the singing of "God Bless America" led by President Irene Hudasky. Other springtime songs were led by Ruth Ann Feane.Birthdays were celebrated by 20 members for the months of September through April.New member Judy Smith from Tamaqua was introduced and welcomed.Future events were announced with dates to be determined at a later meeting.The next meeting will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall.Summit HillStreet sweepingSummit Hill Borough has announced that it will start street sweeping at 8 a.m. Monday. Streets will be posted so residents are asked to watch for the "No Parking" signs and move your vehicle accordingly.NesquehoningStreet sweepingNesquehoning borough will be street sweeping the last week of April.
