April 19, 1988 - Missy Chinchar wins three events, and John Mateyak captures a pair to help Tamaqua record a sweep of West Hazleton in a Schuylkill League meet. Chinchar takes both hurdling events and the long jump as the Raider girls earn an 80-61 decision. Tricia Plasko (100, 200) collects two firsts, as does Allison Zlock (discus, shot put). Other winners include Kim Maurer (400), Jill Germley (800), and Kris Rita (high jump). In the boys meet, Mateyak claims the discus and shot put during an 86-64 victory.
