The Carbon County Navy Club, Borough of Nesquehoning and the Nesquehoning VFW Post 8008 will dedicate a monument to honor all waterborne veterans from the Navy, Marines and Coast Guard at 1 p.m. on Sunday in New Columbus Park.

Waterborne veterans and the public are invited to attend and Navy Club applications will be available to anyone who would like to join.In the case of inclement weather, a rain date is planned for the same time on April 30.The Navy Club will also hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Nesquehoning VFW, 300 E.
